Pre-UPSR Answering Techniques. (:

This week the year 6 students in Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Bintang Utara had a workshop for the UPSR subjects.

For the English Workshop we learnt:

( paper 1 )

* Read the questions carefully.
* Underline the key words of the questions.
* Choose the best answer.
* Must read the passage very carefully and underline the important points.
* Re-check our answers before we hand in our papers.

( paper 2 )

* Section A
* We cannot predict.
* We cannot start a sentence using pronouns.
* We cannot write a simple sentence. It has to be a complex or compound sentence.
* We have to write a sentence based on the picture given.
* We have to check our grammar, spelling and punctuation.

*Section B
* We have to read the information given very carefully.
* We have to make sure that our spelling and punctuation are correct.
* We have to write neatly.
* We have to score 10 marks becuase this is the easiest part to score.
* We have to have at least 4 points and we have to support them very well.
* We have to check our grammar, spelling and punctuation.

*Section C
* Read the question carefully.
* Look at the words and picture given.
* Underline the verbs.
* Identify the tenses either it is preset, past or combintaion of tenses.
* Plan the story before writing it.
* The story has to have introduction, the body and an ending.
* To make the story interesting, we can add adjectives, adverbs, idioms and many more.
* There has to be a flow in the story.
* We have to check our story, punctuation, spelling and also grammar.

Heyy, i haven't really written in you in a long time. Sorry! (: On the 15th of July 2010, the SKSBU choral speaking team was the champion of the Choral Speaking Zon Pudu 2010. :D We were very happy because we got into the final. Our competitors for Zon Pudu are Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Bintang Selatan, Sekolah Kebangsaan Convent Jalan Peel and many more. We were very nervous when we were performing. I would like to thank Puan Hazrah for all the hard work that she has given into the team. Thanks for pushing us to the maximum limit. I will miss the SKSBU Choral Speaking team next year. And Puan Hazrah, the whole choral speaking team loves you. <3

A Day With My Cousins (:

Heyy. I'm here in my cousin's grandparents house. And we were suppose to go swimming, but my cousin forogt to call them. They are doing an advertisement on a bank. So, we are kinda BORED. (: I just finished texting munirah and amalin. I had to stop because i don't have enough prepaid. I have a very bad stomach ache. )': It hurts vary bad. Aiyoooo. I miss all my lovely friends. But, i still can contact them and that is a very good thing. Well, i have to go now, BYEE (:

Holidays. (:

HEYY! i haven't wrote in you in quite a long time. (: ahhha. Well, its now the first semester break and i am having such a great time! Well, apart from the homework, I'm having fun. I just came back from Kabileish's birthday party. I had a great time. We went rollerblading at Bangsar Shopping Centre. I saw Nikisya there. I also saw some of my seniors from last year which are Irina, Izelea and Nanthiny. (: I now have a very big blister. ): Well, and also yesterday my junior, Elle Natasha slept at my house. I also invited my cousins, Mikaela Inez Ovenden and Khadija Isabella Ovenden. (: Have you all seen the movie 'The Karate Kid'? Well, i have! It is AWESOME and FUNNY! I saw it with Elle, my family, my cousins and my aunties. (: I cried while watching that movie because I could feel the pain the character was in. (: Well, i guess this is all i can writee. BYEE. Appreciation and Reflection

I felt very happy when i got this folio because now i can go on my blog more. I also got to know how to use the blogger much more better. I felt very satisfied with the work that i have done in my blog. I hope Puan Ng would give more folios like this. I would like to thank Puan Ng for teaching and guiding me during the English class. She has also improved my English. Now, i can speak English fluently.

Book Review

This story is about a boy who has a bad temper. He did not have any friends because of his temper. One day, his father dressed like a servent and then called his son boss. His son felt so guilty and realised that he had treated his family wrongly. He then promised his father that he would change his attitude. Then, his father told him to hammer a nail everytime he is mad at something. As days go pass, he had hammered less nails. After a few days, he ahd told his father that he had stop throwing tempers every now and then. His father told him to take put the nails from the fence. He then did what he was told to do. He felt so happy because now he had changed his attitude.

I like this story because it is very interesting and also very touching. The moral value of this story is we have to respect our friends and also our family members. I enjoyed the story very much.

Paris And London! (:

Hi! So long i never write in my blog. The last school holiday, I went to Paris and London. It was very fun. In Paris, I went to DisneyLand. It was interesting because i saw many Disney characters. I also visited my relatives in London. I have never seen them before. They are very friendly. Now, i know my whole English side of my family except of two people. PAVILLIONNN! (:

Hello. Next two days, my friends and i are going to PAVILLION. (: to watched a movie called 'The Magic Pudding'. It is a cartoon about a pudding that can talk and likes to be eaten. It also does not ever finish. It sounds interesting but to see we have to watch the movie. I can't wait! (: On Monday, the exams will be on. Wish me luck. I hope i can get a star like the others. I have to score at least 80 and above. Anyways, i have to go now. Byeee!

HOLIDAYSS. (:

Hey. This whole week is school holidays because of Chinese New Years. Happy Chinese New Year and also Happy Valentines everyone! (: Today i went to see a movie called 'Valentine's Day'. It was very interesting. I liked that movie. Taylor Launter, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Garner, Ashton Kutcher, Jesicca Biel, Jamie Foxx, Patrick Dempsey, Jesicca Alba, Bradley Cooper, Eric Dane, and more was in it. It was at least 2 hours. After watching the movie, my family and I went and ate ice-cream at Baskin Robbins. My mother had strawberry, my sister and I had cookies and cream. My father had mint chocolate. (: YUMMY! Well, sorry it is a short post. I have to go now. Bye!

4th week of school.

Hi. This week of school was like normal. This weekend, it was awesome because i went to my friend, Dayang Hanis's birthday party at Shah Alam. Well, not in Shah Alam but we went to her house first then we went to Shah Alam. Dayang invited me, Atikah ( form 1 ), Iqbal ( 5 Cemerlang), Afya ( 6 Cemerlang ), Johanna ( 6 ), Farhana ( 6 ), Madihah ( 6 ), Amanina ( 6 Bestari ) and Danial Aiman ( 6 Bestari ). After eating lunch at De Palma Hotel, Shah Alam, we went and change our clothes into our swimming suit except of me, Atikah and Iqbal. After swimming for 5 minutes, the clown called all of us and played many games. The games are wrapping a person from each group and wrapping them with tissue paper. Also, tying balloons on each others leg and trying to pop the others. After the games, they went back to go swimming. After a few minutes of swimming, we started pushing people into the pool without them noticing. After a few people that i pushed, i decided to rest. Just to tell you guys (readers) i am scared of balloons. While i was resting, Amanina put a balloon in front of my face, so i screamed. While putting the balloon in front of my face, she pushed me into the pool. So sad. After that, we went back to Dayang's house. Well, have to go now. Bye bye.

3rd week of school!

Hi! Last Tuesday, all of the prefects had a course in school. It started at 8:00 a.m. and ended at 5:00 p.m. We all had learn how to discipline our selves and to become more trustworthy. We played a lot of games that tests our mind. There was games like finding orange stickers, separating the beans and the rice and many more. We were given a briefing by the teachers in charge. We also did marching at Laman Bestari. We had a lot of fun. We were give Chicken Rice to eat for lunch. At 1:30 we went and took all of our homework. Unfortunately, one of my book was missing. I called my friend, Munirah since she is the one who took my book. She said that she put it on my desk, so than i said to her it's okay tomorrow i will tell Puan Sareah that my book was not on my table. Than the next day, Venod gave me the book. He said because my book was laying on my table and he took it back. I told him that next time just leave it on my table or put it under my table. Well, that is it that happened on the 3rd week of school. Bye!

2nd week of school!

Hi. The second week of school was as usual and also have a lot of homework. I have a 30 question Mathematics homework and a 3 constructing sentences and 2 essays for Bahasa Malaysia. I also have art homework. I have finished all of my homework. Today i just started tuition with Puan Donna. I did it with Syamilah and Jasmin from a different school. It was awesome! We did compound nouns and an exercise of information transfer. It started at 8:00 a.m. and ended at 9:30 a.m. I woke up at 7:30 a.m. Unbelievable! Well, sorry it is a short post. I have to go now. About the 1st week of school and weekends.

Hi. This post i will be talking about my weekend. Yesterday, I watched Fame. It is like a school where people learn how to act, sing, dance and play instruments.I really liked it. My mom was singing all the songs in the movie. Today i started this new series called Glee. It is about a singing club in a high school. The series is very addictive. Whoever watches it they will like it very much. My favourite characters are Flinn and Quinn. I know their names are weird but they are nice. I went to eat my breakfast at this restaurant called Kayu. I ate 'Roti Canai' with Dhal. Now lets talk about something else. About homework. I got so many homework from school which are English, Mathematics, Art and Bahasa Malaysia. Anyways, i don't know what to write so, write to you guys later. Bye!

Hi there! My name is Hana. I am turning 12 years old this March. My hobby is playing online games and reading. When I grow up, I would like to become a teacher. I have 4 members in my family. My mother's name is Dahlia. She works as a housewife. She is turning 45 this year. My father's name is Mohamad Arif. He works as a businessman. He will work at his office from day till night. He is turning 44 this year. He is one year younger than my mother. I also have a sister, who is 9 years old. Her name is Emma. She is schooling at Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Bintang Utara. I have 2 cats. Their names are Fifi and Timmy. Okay, now i shall talk about school. I am schooling in Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Bintang Utara. I am now in Year 6 Bestari. I have best friends which are Munirah, Aqilah, Allyssa, Naylisya, and Syamilah. They are all in the same class as me except for Syamilah. She is in 6 Cemerlang. My goal for this year is to score 5A's for my UPSR. Well, to be honest, i am really nervous for the exams in Year 6 and i will not try my best but i will give my best for the exams.
